5 Foods To Boost Kidney Function

 


   Kidney disease is a popularly known sickness affecting the lives of people in the world. It affects about 10% of the world's population. The kidney is very much responsible for vital functions in the body.

  The kidney has a bean shaped form. It is located on both sides of the spine, below the ribs, and behind the belly. The kidney are responsible for many functions in the body such as balancing fluids in the body, filtering waste products, producing urine, releasing hormone that regulate blood pressure. It is  responsible for the removal of waste products from the body. It also promote strong and healthy bones through the form of vitamin D.

Symptoms of kidney infection in the body


  There are five foods prescribed,which enchance, or boost the kidney function.



1.) Egg White

  Egg white are low calorie food which forms around the yolk, it  provides cushion between the embryo and the protective shell.

  Egg white is recommended as a good food which helps in boosting the function of the kidney. It contains a high quality of protein. High quality of protein contains amino acid. Less waste are produced when high quality protein is metabolised in the body. 

  Egg white causes less burden on kidney, that is why it should be taken by a kidney patient but must also limit the amount due to the cause of impaired kidney function.


2.) Red Grapes

  Red grapes are tasty fresh fruits that are nutritious and healthy to the body. They are used to make juice, red wine, jams e.t.c. 

  Red grapes contains Antioxidants, vitamin C & K, and potassium. It helps to prevent the kidney from diseases, and makes it effective which aids in balancing fluids in the body, and keeps from kidney stones.



3.) Garlic 

  Garlic is a plant closely related to chives, onions, shallot, and leeks. It is found in the Allium family.

  Garlic plays a vital role in curing kidney diseases, and enchance it's function. As a matter of fact, high blood pressure leads to kidney damage, garlic has the potential to protect the kidney by lowering the concentrations of cadmium, and leads in the kidneys.



4.) Cabbage

  Cabbage is a healthy green leaf vegetable that contains high amount of vitamins such as vitamin C & E. It can be prepared in different ways, either cooked, or raw (salad) 

  Cabbage is one of the nutritious vegetables known to boost the kidney function. It is low in potassium and high in vitamin K, C and fibre. It contains folic acid which helps to keep the kidney healthy.



5.) Blueberries

  Blueberries are delicious fruits. They are popularly known and healthy to the body. They are good source of vitamin K1 and C, and manganese. They are rich in antioxidants,and beneficial plant compounds such as Querceha, Myricetin, and Anthocyanins.

  Blueberries are a member of healthy family. They can either be blue or purple in colour. They have a pleasant sweet taste. They can be juiced or frozen. They can be used as flavor for baking, jams, e.t.c
